Microarray Analysis Results
16.09.2004 First results on application of a tool CompositeModuleAnalyst (CMA) to cell-cycle microarray data
We are currently into analysis of Yeast cell-cycle data provided by et all ( http://sgdlite.princeton.edu/download/yeast_datasets/ ).
The experiment consists of two full cell-cycles of yeast.

We took yeast promoters from Spellman et al. (http://genome-www.stanford.edu/cellcycle/data/rawdata/) with the use of http://rsat.ulb.ac.be/rsat/
CompositeModuleAnalyst reveals transcription factors, involved in regulation in given
microarray data.
Preliminarly results of applying CMA are follow:
ABAA GBF HAP1 HSF LEU3 REPCAR ROX1 STE11 TBP ZAP1
10 G1. 1 1 1
20 G1. 1 1 1
90 G1. 1 1 1
100 G1. 1 1 1
50 G2. 1 1 1
60 G2. 1 1 1
130 G2. 1 1 1
140 G2. 1 1 1
70 M. 1 1 1
80 M. 1 1 1
30 S. 1 1 1
40 S. 1 1 1
110 S. 1 1 1
120 S. 1 1 1
For example, in the start of G2 phase (50m and 130m) works LEU3, REPCARF and TBP,
but in the end of G2 phase (60m and 140m) works HSF, REPCARF and (TBP or GBF).
CMA found same sets of factors on experiments, related to same phase of
cell-cycle. But correlation between genes expressions related to same phase
is rather a bit lower than correlation between genes expressions related to
other phases.
Time shift Average correlation
30 -0.208219306
20 0.091359087
10 0.489093135
80 0.1820869
